Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin.
Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the highlights of Cochin, also known as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea.” This city boasts one of the finest natural harbors in the world and has historically served as a major hub for trade with the British, Chinese, Portuguese, and Dutch. Key attractions include the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays and Saturdays), the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays and Saturdays), Jewish Street, St. Francis Church (closed on Sundays), Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica (closed on Sundays), and the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets.

Day 2: Cochin to Munnar
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Munnar, a scenic hill station located about four hours away. Enjoy views of waterfalls and picturesque natural landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Explore Munnar.
Begin your day with breakfast and head out to explore Munnar, a hill station situated at the confluence of the Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale streams, at an altitude of 1,600 meters. Once a summer retreat for British officials, Munnar is renowned for its lush greenery and scenic vistas. Visit popular attractions such as the Rose Garden, Photo Point, Honey Tree, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundale Lake. In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai, where you can spot the rare Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered mountain goat species. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady, a journey of approximately four hours. On arrival, check in to your hotel and set out to explore Thekkady, home to the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Covering an area of 777 square kilometers, with 360 square kilometers of dense evergreen forest, this sanctuary is celebrated for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, it offers optional activities such as boating on Periyar Lake, visiting spice plantations, and enjoying elephant rides (additional costs apply).

Day 5: Thekkady to Kumarakom/Alleppey.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Kumarakom, a serene backwater destination, approximately a five-hour drive away. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring Kumarakom, a quaint village located on the western banks of Vembanad Lake. With its network of backwaters spanning 900 square kilometers, you can opt for a canoe, motorboat, or houseboat ride to immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings.

Day 6: Departure from Cochin
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat or hotel and drive to Cochin Airport for your return journey. You can choose to explore Cochin for additional sightseeing on the first or last day, depending on your arrival or departure schedule.
