    Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathgodam and Drive to Pithoragarh.

Your spiritual quest begins with a beautiful drive from Kathgodam. We wind through the Kumaon hills, passing lush pine forests and small mountain towns. Reach Pithoragarh by evening, where you can relax and prepare for the higher altitudes ahead.

Day 2 - Scenic Drive to Dharchula.

Today, we head deeper into the mountains toward Dharchula, a bustling town on the Indo-Nepal border. Spend your afternoon completing the necessary inner-line permit formalities and enjoy a walk by the roaring Kali River that separates the two nations.

Day 3 - Journey to the High Altitudes o f Gunji.

Buckle up for a rugged and exciting drive to Gunji. We travel along narrow mountain roads, the river flowing deep below. As we climb, the landscape changes to cold desert beauty. You will feel the air getting thinner and fresher.

Day 4 - Spiritual Darshan of Adi Kailash.

Today is the big day. We drive to Joolingkong and trek a short distance to reach the base of Adi Kailash. Witness the reflection of the peak in Parvati Sarovar, and visit the nearby ancient Shiva-Parvati temple for a peaceful prayer.

Day 5 - Witnessing the Miracle of Om Parvat.

We head toward Nabhidhang to get a clear view of the legendary Om Parvat. Seeing the “Om” symbol carved into the snow on the mountain face is a life-changing experience. After soaking in the spiritual vibes, we return to the village.

Day 6 - Exploring the Culture of Nabhi Village.

Take a break from long travels to explore the local way of life. Walk through the traditional houses of Nabhi village, interact with the locals, and taste authentic Himalayan food. It’s a day to rest your body and enrich your soul.

Day 7 - Descend Back to Dharchula.

After a final mountain breakfast, we begin our journey back down to Dharchula. The descent offers a different perspective of the massive valleys we crossed earlier. Reach the town by evening and enjoy a comfortable bed and a hot shower.

Day 8 - Dharchula to Pithoragarh Return.

We retrace our steps back to Pithoragarh. Use this day to buy local Kumaoni handicrafts or simply relax and reflect on the incredible sights you saw at the high border. The evening is free for exploring the local market.

Day 9 - Final Departure to Kathgodam.

We drive back to Kathgodam railway station. As we descend to the plains, you carry back the blessings of Mahadev and memories of the most sacred peaks in Uttarakhand. We drop you off for your journey home.

    FAQs

Is a medical certificate required for this trip?

Yes, because you will be travelling to very high altitudes (above 14,000 feet), a fitness certificate from a registered doctor is mandatory. We also recommend basic physical training, such as walking or jogging, before the trip.

Why do we need an Inner-Line Permit?

Adi Kailash and Om Parvat are located very close to the international borders of India, China, and Nepal. The government requires these permits for security reasons. We will help you manage all the paperwork in Dharchula.

What is the best month to visit Adi Kailash?

The best time is from June to September. June and September offer the clearest views, while July and August are beautiful but can have rain. The weather is very cold, so heavy woollens are a must.

    How difficult is the trek?

With the new roads, most of the journey is now by 4×4 vehicles. However, there are still small treks involved to reach the lakes and temples. It is considered a moderate trip suitable for people in good health.
