Our team meets you at NJP Station or Bagdogra Airport to begin the winding climb to Sikkim’s capital. As the air cools, you’ll feel the city’s stress melt away. After checking in, spend your evening strolling through the bustling MG Marg.
Head high into the mountains to visit Tsomgo Lake, a stunning glacial body held sacred by locals. Nearby, pay your respects at the New Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to a legendary Indian soldier. The mountain views here are truly unmatched.
Leave Gangtok for the peaceful town of Kalimpong. We’ll stop at Deolo Hill for a bird’s-eye view of the valley and visit the famous Cactus Garden. The town’s old-world charm and colonial bungalows like Morgan House make for a relaxing afternoon.
After a slow breakfast, we drive toward Darjeeling. This route is incredibly scenic, passing through dense pine groves and sprawling tea estates. Once you arrive, the evening is yours to explore the iconic Mall Road and sample some authentic local snacks.
Wake up at 4:00 AM for the famous Tiger Hill sunrise. On the way back, visit the Batasia Loop and the ancient Ghoom Monastery. Later, explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and watch the playful Red Pandas at the high-altitude zoo.
We depart for the plains via the scenic Mirik route. Enjoy a boat ride on Sumendu Lake or shop for international goods at the Pashupati Fatak on the Nepal border. Finally, we drop you back at the station or airport.
The government issues Nathula Pass permits on the day of travel, and they are subject to weather. You’ll need to provide your ID and photos a day in advance. Please note it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Even in summer, evenings are cool. In winter (Dec–Feb), temperatures can drop to near zero. We recommend carrying warm woolen clothing for the Tiger Hill and Tsomgo Lake excursions, regardless of the season.
Sikkim is a border state. You must carry a valid Photo ID (Voter ID or Passport is preferred) and at least 4-6 passport-sized photographs for various mountain permits. Please note that [Aadhaar Redacted] is often not accepted by local authorities in certain parts of Sikkim.
Tsomgo Lake and Tiger Hill are at high altitudes. Most people are fine, but if you have heart or breathing issues, consult a doctor first. Stay hydrated and avoid heavy meals before heading to the higher points.
