Our team will meet you at NJP station for a scenic drive along the Teesta River to Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim. After checking into your hotel, spend a relaxed evening at leisure. You can take a walk to M.G. Marg to enjoy the local food and mountain hospitality.
After breakfast, head out for a high-altitude excursion to the sacred Tsomgo Lake and the New Baba Mandir, built in memory of a martyred soldier. Marvel at the crisp mountain air and alpine scenery. Optionally, you can visit the Indo-China border at Nathula Pass at an extra cost.
Check out and head toward Pelling. On the way, stop for photos at the lush Temi Tea Garden and visit the grand Namchi Char Dham. Before reaching Pelling, explore the peaceful Buddha Park in Ravangla to see the massive 130-foot statue overlooking the mountains.
Explore the stunning Pelling Skywalk and the ancient Rabdentse Ruins. After visiting the Pemayangtse Monastery, head to the Kanchenjunga and Rimbi Waterfalls. Spend your afternoon at the wish-fulfilling Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred spot tucked away in a deep forest for a peaceful experience.
Enjoy a final breakfast overlooking the peaks before we begin our descent to NJP or Bagdogra (IXB). We will ensure you reach the station or airport on time for your onward journey, carrying home the sweet memories of the Sikkim hills.
Sikkim requires special permits for areas like Tsomgo Lake. You must carry a valid Photo Identity proof (Voter ID or Passport) and 4-6 passport-sized photographs. Please note that Aadhaar Cards are often not accepted for permit processing in certain parts of Sikkim.
The weather in the hills is unpredictable. Even in summer, evenings are chilly. Carry heavy woolens for the Tsomgo Lake trip and light woolens for Pelling. A sturdy pair of walking shoes with a good grip is essential for the waterfall and monastery visits.
Nathula Pass is an optional visit and depends on government permission and weather. It is usually closed on Mondays. If you wish to visit, it involves an extra cost for the permit and a separate vehicle arrangement, which must be handled on-site.
You will have a good signal in Gangtok and Pelling town centers. However, as you travel toward Tsomgo Lake or deeper into the mountains, the signal can get weak or drop entirely. We recommend treating those areas as a “digital detox” zone.
