Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival and the "Mini Taj" Experience.
Your heritage journey begins upon your arrival at Aurangabad airport or railway station. After hotel check-in, visit the Bibi Ka Maqbara, a beautiful tribute to royal love. End your day at the Panchakki, an ancient water mill that showcases medieval Indian engineering.

Day 2 - The Buddhist Wonders of Ajanta.
After an early breakfast, we drive to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ajanta. Spend your day exploring the 30 rock-cut caves, famous for their vibrant paintings and serene Buddha statues that date back to the 2nd Century BC. Return to Aurangabad by evening.

Day 3 - Ellora's Grandeur and Fortress Heights.
Today, we visit the magnificent Ellora Caves, featuring the incredible Kailasa Temple carved from a single rock. Later, we head to the powerful Daulatabad Fort and the sacred Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. It is a day of deep spiritual and historical discovery.

Technically no. Ajanta is about 100 km from Aurangabad, while Ellora is about 30 km. To truly appreciate the art and history without rushing, you need one full day for Ajanta and another day for Ellora and its surrounding sites.
Yes, this is very important! The Ajanta Caves are not open on Mondays, while the Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays.. We plan your itinerary specifically to ensure you don’t miss either site due to these weekly closures.
Yes, exploring the caves involves significant walking and some climbing of stairs. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. For those with mobility issues, palanquins (dolis) are available for hire at both Ajanta and Ellora.
The most pleasant time is from October to March when the weather is cool. The monsoon season (June to September) is also beautiful as the landscape turns lush green and waterfalls appear near the caves, though it can be humid.
