Kailash Mansarovar Aerial Darshan is a special spiritual journey where you get a bird’s-eye view of the sacred Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar from a chartered flight. This is an ideal alternative for those who cannot take part in the demanding overland yatra due to health, age, or time constraints. It allows pilgrims to experience the divine darshan from the skies with utmost comfort and safety.
Most chartered aerial darshan flights take off from Nepal—primarily from Kathmandu, Nepalgunj, or Simikot. Some operators may facilitate connections from Indian cities near the border, but Kathmandu remains the most reliable and commonly used hub for the journey.
Yes, the Aerial Darshan is especially designed for senior citizens and individuals who may not be fit for high-altitude trekking. That said, those with critical heart or lung conditions should consult a doctor beforehand, as the aircraft still flies over elevated terrains.
Absolutely. Passengers are welcome to take photos or videos of Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar during the flight. Cabin crew may also assist in helping you capture the best moments with minimal window reflections.
The seating capacity depends on the aircraft model. Smaller chartered flights usually carry 5–15 passengers, while larger aircraft may accommodate 30–50 passengers. The final count varies based on availability and weather restrictions.
Wear warm, layered clothing as the altitude can make temperatures drop even in summer. Carry sunglasses to reduce glare from the snow-covered peaks. Don’t forget your camera, power bank, and binoculars for an enhanced viewing experience.
While aerial darshan is generally safe, it may involve minor turbulence or altitude discomfort. However, charter flights are flown by experienced mountain pilots and avoid risky weather conditions. Oxygen support is available onboard if needed.
No, aerial darshan flights do not include any landings near Mount Kailash or Lake Mansarovar. The journey is entirely conducted from the air, offering breathtaking views without stepping out of the aircraft.
Yes, early booking is highly recommended as aerial darshan flights have limited availability, especially during the pilgrimage season (May to September). Booking early ensures seat confirmation and better prices.
Some flights may offer light refreshments depending on the provider and flight duration. We recommend confirming this during the booking process with the Negotrip team.
Yes. For many devotees, visually witnessing Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar from the air holds deep religious and emotional value—especially for those who are unable to do the full land yatra. It is believed that even seeing Kailash is spiritually equivalent to performing the pilgrimage.
While the overland Kailash Parikrama has an age limit of 70 years, aerial darshan has no strict upper age restriction. A 72-year-old devotee can definitely experience the darshan by flight with a valid passport or Indian Voter ID. No trekking is involved.
Hotel bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
